Halesworth Dementia Carers Fund Golf Day.
May 1st was a beautiful day and 19 teams took to the fairways at Halesworth Golf Club to raise funds for the Halesworth Dementia Carers Fund.
The event was a great success and we are very grateful to John Giles and Sara Higgins for their wonderful organisation. We are also very grateful to Suffolk Car Centre, the main sponsors, and to the following companies who so generously sponsored us:- Pearce and Kemp, Spectra Packaging, SJ Geomatics, Kevin Townsend, Micropress, Norton Peskett, Dynamic Dental, Broadway Colours, Cecil Amey, Wickham Care, Gentlemen’s Row, A W and D Hammond, Jordan Fencing, Glam R Beauty Salon, Blakemore Foundation (Spar), MRWCF Electrical, Diesels Direct and Durrants.
On the day members of the HDCF committee held a raffle. There was a wonderful selection of prizes and we are so grateful to the very many shopkeepers, businesses, pubs and people who so kindly donated to the raffle, and all those who bought tickets.
Our thanks must also go to Halesworth Golf for letting us have this, our second Golf Tournament, at the course.
At the time of writing the final figure has yet to be worked out, but it looks as if it will be well in excess of £5,000 after expenses.
